In Search of Paradise A.R. proposes an immersive intervention into the universe of the film “The Island”.

This exhibition proposes a new reading of “Robinson Crusoe” by Daniel Defoe, published in 1719 through the realities of the 21st century, using specific instruments and mediums. Bringing into the foreground the pressing issues of our contemporary world, such as migration, ecology, alienation and tech addiction, Anca Damian’s “Island” brings back to life a classic work through a new lens. Thus, the advance of technology over the last centuries is incorporated into the narrative through the way in which the story is presented, taking the action out of the book into theater, film, and eventually in Augmented Reality, inviting the reader to become an active participant into the universe of the Island.
